How to Crochet the Windy Pines Mittens (March 2019).
The cardigan in mossy shades of green is knitted only with right stitches. It's easy and fast. The yarn used conjures interesting color gradients and a light leather look.
Cardigan for the spring
Size 36/38 (40/42 - 44/46). The figures for size 40/42 are in brackets, for size 44/46 after the indent. If there is only one indication, it applies to all three sizes.
Lana Grossa quality "Coco" (67% cotton, 33% polyamide, LL = approx. 115 m / 50 g): approx. 400 (450 - 500) g olive / pink / dark green (color: 16) and Lana Grossa quality "Alcanto" (70% polyester, 30% polyamide, LL = approx. 125 m / 50 g): approx. 50 g olive green (Fb. 17); Knitting needles no. 5, 1 crochet hook no. 5; 5 coconut buttons by Union Knopf, art. 452738, 23 mm ø, color 80 black / red.
Back and back R sts, also the edge M (= knot edge).
17 M and 33 R curl with Nd. No. 5 and Coco = 10 x 10 cm.
Cast on 84 (90 - 98) sts with Coco. Kraus re str. After 30 (32 - 34) cm = 100 (106 - 112) R from stop both sides. for the armholes cast off 2 sts, then dec 1 sts 2 sts and 1x 1 sts in every other row. = 74 (80 - 88) M. Then continue straight ahead. In 17 (18 - 19) cm = 56 (60 - 64) R armhole height, cast off all sts evenly, taking the median neckline for the neckline margin. Mark 36 sts. 19 (22 - 26) M. each. apply to the shoulders.
Cast on 43 (46 - 50) sts with Coco. Kraus re str. Make the armhole at the same height as at the back. Cast off 10 sts in 10 (11 - 12) cm = 32 (36 - 40) R for the neckline on the left side of the edge. Then add 3 sts in each 2nd round, 2 sts 2 times and 2 times in each round 1 st. Cast off the remaining 19 (22 - 26) shoulder sts at the same height as at the back.
Opposite to the left front part str.
Cast on 46 (50-54) sts with Coco. Kraus re str. Duplex Bind. for the bevels in the 17th R from stop 1 M first, then every 16. R still 6x 1 M each. = 60 (64 - 68) M. After 42 cm = 138 R from the stop both sides. for the short bevels cast off 1 st, then cast off 1 st in every other row for 4 sts. Slightly cast off the remaining 50 (54 - 58) sts in the following row.
Stretch parts, moisten and allow to dry. Close seams. Insert sleeves. All edges with crochet. Crochet Alcanto with 1 round w st, taking care that the edges do not curl, but sometimes skip 1 st or 2 sts. Crochet buttonholes at the same time in the front edge, the lower with 8 cm distance to the edge of the flap, the remaining 4 with 8 cm distance above. Insert 1 air vent for each buttonhole. Sew the buttons on the left front part accordingly.
