This taste of marinated fish, fresh oranges and limes - spring is here and may like to stay long. This recipe idea comes from the food blog

Ingredients (for 2 persons)

  • 2 fresh char
  • 2 blood oranges
  • 1 ripe avocado
  • 2 spring onions
  • 1 hand thai basil
  • 1 hand coriander
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • Juice of 3 limes
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds

Since you have to marinate the fish with lime juice and olive oil for some time, start with fillet of char. Of course, if you do not dare to fillet, you can also buy fillets. However, as you eat the fish (almost) raw, please make sure that it is really fresh.

Cut the fillets in about 1 x 1 cm cubes and mix with the lime juice, the olive oil and a little salt. Cover and allow to marinate for at least 30 minutes.

In the meantime peel the avocado and cut into small pieces. Wash the spring onions and cut into rings and finely chop the herbs. Free the blood oranges from their skin and dissect them into the individual orange fillets. Now put everything together in a bowl, fold in the marinated fish and season with lime juice, salt and pepper. Sprinkle with some sesame seeds and serve with fresh bread.
