May punch

Ingredients (for about 10 drinks)

  • 1 bottle dry Riesling sparkling wine (eg Roses & Roses Puremonde Perles)
  • 1 bottle of dry white wine (eg white burgundy Runkel 2011)
  • 20 cl woodruff liqueur (eg Prussian spirits manufactory)
  • 14 cl of holdover flower syrup (eg Vaude)

1 punch bowl or large glass jug Lemongrass sticks Ice cubes with large edges
Put the white wine, woodruff and elderflower liqueur in a bowl and mix with the help of a trowel. Then add ice cubes and pour cautiously with champagne. Mull gently again. Take one lemongrass per guest, carefully peel off the outermost layer of the peel and then "pop open" the thick end of the sticks with the aid of a Muddle Stick or a wooden spoon. This dissolves the aroma substances from the plant fibers. Fill the whiskey glasses with ice cubes, add the punch and place a lemongrass stick into the glass with the open end in the direction of the glass bottom.

Bailey's Raspberry Chili Flip

  • 20 ml Baileys The Original 20 ml
  • Rum (eg Captain Morgan)
  • 15 ml raspberry liqueur
  • 1 pinch of dark chocolate (alternatively 1/2 teaspoon cocoa powder)
  • 1 splash Tabasco

Mix all ingredients in a shaker and serve in a cocktail glass on ice. For the garnish place a fresh raspberry on the edge of the foam. (10.1 g of alcohol per serving) The addition of Tabasco not only rounds off the sweetness of the rum and raspberry liqueur, but also highlights the fruity aroma and the taste of the dark rum, the chocolate and the berries. Without the addition of Tabasco, this cocktail becomes a sweeter seduction reminiscent of Black Forest cake.
