Macadamia dollars. Noble nut cookies that delight the connoisseur heart.
FOR 60 PIECES:
220 g of butter
180 g of sugar
2 egg yolks
2-3 drops of butter-vanilla flavor
1 pinch of salt
320 g of flour
about 30 unsalted, halved macadamia nuts
about 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
1 Beat butter and sugar until foamy. Stir in the yolks, vanilla flavor, salt and flour. Form balls from the dough (about 1.5 cm Ø). Place on a tray covered with baking paper, keeping 4 cm apart.
Put 2 macadamia nut halves on top. Bake at 180 degrees for about 13 minutes. Dust with powdered sugar.
