But it is also helpful if you want to permanently lose weight and start a new diet with a detox cure. A detoxification ensures that your organism is cleansed and pollutants flushed out of the body. In addition, your skin is improved, the connective tissue tightened and the hair more shiny. So there are many good reasons for a bowel treatment. In any case, one thing is certain: The metabolism is stimulated and you will feel more vital, fit, powerful and attractive.
How does a colon cleanse work?
There are several products for detoxification. However, the three most common ingredients are psyllium psyllium powder for loosening deposits in the digestive system and for solving poisons and metabolic waste products; Bentonite and zeolite (mineral earths) help eliminate faecal matter and debris, and probiotics (beneficial intestinal bacteria) help build a healthy intestinal flora.
The bowel cleansing programs based on these ingredients are available in the form of capsules, a liquid or as a powder. How you perform your intestinal treatment also depends on the desired duration: you can detoxify your bowel for ten days, but also over a period of three months.
In addition, one of five additional components such as Chlorella algae, Sango marine coral, grapefruit seed extract, barley grass or natural medicinal plants can be taken.
Example method for a detox cure
Common is the intake by shakes. Mix 1 half teaspoon of bentonite / zeolite and psyllium husk powder with 200 ml of water or separate both components. Then drink a glass of water slowly. Finally, you increase your dose each day. As a rule, one drinks a shake in the morning and in the evening. In the first week, start with a shake to see how your body reacts to the changeover; in the second week, drink two a day, and three in the third week. For example, if you decide to take a one-month course of treatment, you only take one shake a day in the fourth week. Be sure to take the probiotic separately during or after meals.
Speaking of meals … you can eat that
You should not take more than four shakes per day; a higher amount is only suitable for a fasting with the intake of broth and juices and water. With a maximum of two shakes per day, you can keep three meals, or replace one with a shake at a time.
You should not, or only in small quantities to eat:
- no sugar, white flour products
- Sausage, meat, fish, soy products only a maximum of three times a week
- no dairy products (except butter)
- no alcohol
- Coffee only a maximum of two cups per day, better but completely without it
And these foods are allowed:
- Vegetables & fruits, dried fruits
- Quinoa, amaranth, buckwheat and pasta made therefrom, patties, salads and millet
- Nuts, almonds, seeds
- Linseed oil, coconut oil, olive oil, hemp oil
- And of course: water. Drink enough carbonated water or herbal teas.
So you do not have to fast classically, if you want to do something good for your gut. An additional enema brings the intestine even faster.
