Recipe for pumpkin jam


  • 1.5 kg pumpkin (soft meat)
  • 250 g of dried apricots
  • 3 vanilla pods
  • 450 g jam sugar
  • 0.5 l of orange juice
  • 3 tablespoons of lemon juice
  • 0.5 l of orange juice
  • 1 orange, finely grated peel

  1. First, cut the pumpkin into thin slices, peel and then core it. Then cut the apricots into small pieces. Weigh out about 700 g of pumpkin meat and cut it into small cubes. Then add the pumpkin cubes, the apricots, the orange juice and the vanilla pods to a saucepan, mix everything, close the pot and cook for about 20 minutes.
  2. Now it's time to purée the mass. Gradually mix the lemon juice, the orange peel and the jelly sugar under the mixture and bring everything to a boil. Take it about 3-4 minutes, until it sparkles bubbly, from the stove and fill it in glasses. Afterwards, the jars must be closed immediately and stored in a cool place.
