Recipe chocolate soup

Chocolate Soup & Cinnamon Croutons (June 2019).


Not only children love.

INGREDIENTS (for 4 servings):

  • 700 ml of milk
  • 1/2 packet of custard powder
  • 100 g of sugar
  • 200 g of dark chocolate
  • 2 egg whites
  • 20 g of sugar
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 4 slices of white bread
  • 1 tablespoon of sugar


  1. Mix about 100 ml of cold milk with the pudding powder, so that the powder is dissolved without lumps. Pour remaining milk into a saucepan and bring to a boil. Add sugar. Add the stirred custard powder while stirring and bring to a boil. Break the bittersweet chocolate into pieces and dissolve it.
  2. Beat the egg whites with sugar and salt until stiff and stir in the chocolate soup. Heat the oil and butter in a pan. Roast the slices of brown bread brown on both sides, then sprinkle with sugar and place a slice into a deep dish. Pour over the warm soup.

PREPARATION TIME: approx. 35 min.
TIP: You rather like pudding than soup? No problem: then simply mix the milk with 11/2 sachets of pudding powder and leave out the egg whites.
PRO PORTION: approx. 650 kcal, 12 g protein, 30 g fat, 80 g carbohydrates
